Abu Ghraib - A Nation of Hypocrites?

In the newly outed age of "Fake News", is there any question the Abu Ghraib photos were fake? I don't sense they were, but at this point, that always must be considered. Assuming they were not fake.

Where all the people involved in this really properly dealt with, all the way to the top of the US Chain of Command?

When people think about "Nazi" torture and manipulation, how would it have differed?

For many US Citizens, these people and their behavior destroyed ALL FAITH in the mission and work of the US Military overseas. The fact that other members of the Army and Armed Forces didn't fully destroy all those related to this scandal is perplexing. How can they look upon this and still talk about an "enemy" that is worse? What's worse than folks who fueled hatred for the US for decades?

And here's where it gets really tricky. All of these folks may have been and may still be queed in Reincarnation Cycles. Who wants to manage these folks if / when they get new lives after these and want revenge?

For all I know this image could be photo shopped. I guess the same could be said for all of them...
